Festival Assistant - Singapore Arts Festival 2006
Just ended my Arts Fest stint which was a damnnnnn fun experience!!

made new frens and made frens frm hall i nv had the chance to talk to!!
it was great interaction w the artistes, foreign or local..
was privilege to actually get so upclose n personal and tt sense of ownership when the performance is underway is nostalgic man...
reminds me of tsd days!

next up... my one day Baito (short for Arubaito which is Jap for parttime job)
it was courtesy of Gen (arigato gozaimashita ne, gen san! baito wa totemo omoshirokatta! =))
we had to bring groups of 16yr old Jap students ard town just for 4hrs
i had 4 male charges who had spicy food craving..
brought them to ThaiExpress and they went all redfaced from green curry haha
they were damn cute la! but coz my jap sucks, had some communication breakdowns
the best one being,
Me (in halting japanese): What kinda things do u wanna buy?
Them(in halting angmoh): eh... souvenirs?
Me: like chocolate?
Them(frantically gesticulating): No no no! eh...chocolate?...ehh...fire?...water?
Me: oh! chocolate fondue? kudamono(fruits in japanese) dip n eat?
Them: ah! hai, hai! kudamono hai!
Me: oh yes we love them here...very popular!
Them: Ah yes yes! eh.......chocolate?.......japan....aeroplane....water! water! japan go back water!
Me(face rapidly turning red): ah..........
so ya. moral of the story was he was just tryna tell me chocolate will melt by the time he goes back to Japan so he doesn't wanna buy chocolate. but there u go u see them agreeing to chocolate fondue.

n ya they r damn rich.
either tt or stuff in Japan r damn ex.
brought them to NUM n one of them bought a $45 singlet w/o blinking an eye!
din even wanna try it on!
just took it off the hanger n was gonnna pay when i pushed him into the fitting room
even then,
all he did was pull the singlet over his shirt.
haha

they all like to do the 'V' thing, or 2 finger thing or cheese or wad ever u call tt.
and they r mostly trendy and well dressed unlike majority of our local stock.
the "head" of the group who cld speak the most english and also the one who recklessly bought the NUM singlet and ALSO the one i told my mom i will turn paedophilic for if he wasnt shorter den me coz he's DAMN WELL BUILT FOR A 16YR OLD!!! =) does judo apparently. =)
the CUTEST. as in the boy boy kind. also v trendy. hahah in fact most of them were decked out in Nike AirForce Ones while avg singaporean men like to wear the free army brooks/new balance shoes. SIGH.
i dunnoe why he got so much facial hair. 16 only leh.
typical male who did not buy a SINGLE thing. not even merlion biscuits.
.............and i DID warn abt the 'cheese' thing rite??? hahahha
