long time no post!

haha im always liddat la so lazy.. cant seem to ever find the time to sit my fat asss down to update my blog. or to update/improve my online business site either. always letting such non-emergency stuff sit ard while more urgent things took precedence.

Fwoc's over Flag's over Rag's over.

i think the freshmen this yr are really very very lucky coz the fact tt KR got off at such a great start, instilling in them at such an early stage, a significant amount of pride n belonging..seeing the hall triumph and excel, i cannot claim tt i had an equal swell of pride.. and tt probably accords to the fact that i wasnt very on during fwoc and rag itself. flag haha i tried la huh

i think i owe my blk an apology for slacking off significantly during fwoc la..for waking up late n sleeping early and disappearing at certain intervals.
definitely not wad i was at union camp..

i have to admit i'm burnt out from union camp.
and that is probably why im so slack during fwoc.
being the first to wake up n last to sleep every day during UC was crazy for me, esp me being the cannot dun sleep kinda person..i dun think im good for night life..
n maybe also because i gave myself a lot of pressure tt period of time.. so when it was fwoc i just wanted to take a back seat..

but of coz i feel bad looking at fellow UC OGL Zhihao pia-ing away..n my neighbour charlotte who permanently survives on 3hrs of sleep eeverynight..

but i thinki have to admit to myself i cannot do that.

for some reason, i can no longer survive on minimal sleep, or even insufficient sleep now..
im lethargic regularly and need coffee to boost my energy level.

but the worst has got to be the fact that my voice is still shit.

it sounds okay when i speak but i cant raise my voice without straining anymore. and i definitely havent got my singing voice back. if its coming back at all.

i strained my voice during snr's perf..and during fwoc i tried to lead cheers for a while, den my voice ran away again..

it sucks!!!!!!

i wan my voice back. =(

maybe i cannot make it, cannot take the physical strain of leadership.

sigh.

anyhow...back to fwoc.

i thought and i voiced out during one of our SLOs that i felt it an extremely well run orientation camp.
the freshies had enough sleep/rest
they had enought time to wash up and shower
they dint need to run ard like mad men most of the time
they dint need to wait ard a lot
they had fun.

i think it was coz of the former reasons that ensured they had enough energy to have fun..

i noe many will beg to differ, n argue tt they mite get too slack to be on but from my view as an ex-freshmen, i wunt wan to be rushed ard, made to wait endlessly for hours on end or made to survive on 4hours' slp everyday of the camp.

i wld wanna be able to make frens, make myself at home comfortably.

that said, the efficiency of fwoc 06/07 is really impressive. and is huge bonus to freshie welfare.

next, i think the fwocers put in a lot of effort to make fwoc 06/07 a different and perhaps more memorable experience. different not in the sense of losing tradition, but more in the sense of upgrading long-running programmes, like for
the snr's perf. wad an elaborate set!
pool/beach games: new games!
labyrinth of stg-chim: having fun w/o breaking any rules!
and last but not least,
formal dinner: best meal ever tasted, best decor ever seen, best concept ever adopted. (i loved the masks!!)

i think its reallly really really well done, this yrs fwoc.

it is nt easy to have to organise and run a camp at sucha a hands-on level as OGLs at the same time.

as UC OGLS, it was tough enuff tryna ra-ra the freshies and coordinate counsillors at the same time. but we took some burden off the camp com.

the fwocer have to do both things! or in fact all things!!

and the fact tt despite having so much to juggle, they still managed to achieve the essence of orientation camps to let the freshies have fun it really an incredible job well done.

they may not be superheros in the sense tt they stood out gleamingly in the limelight all the time, but ask any freshies they'll tell you their fwocers R superheros.

they can SEE them running ard all the time, they can HEAR them asking aft them, talking to them. and they KNOW they sleep the latest and wake up the earliest.

to them, their fwocers ARE superheros.
