was going to change my blog skin but couldn't find anything suitable so i shall just stick to this one for now..

yesterday was the IHG finals. possibly the last competitive tennis match of my life
since the tournament's over i can finally say here haha
i freakking sprained my ankle just a week before the games!!!!! urgh. unbelievable. as if the tournament's not alr short enuff, i have to sprain my ankle and sit out the first 2 prelims. sucks.

and then, when i finally get to play the semis and finals, i screwed up as usual. well, to be fair, this time rd was not sooo bad coz 1) our opponents are not v gd, 2) i was still kinda useful at the net, 3) i only started choking on the 2nd set. the semis was not that bad coz i actually managed to win some rallies but the finals? tmd. damn short serves also cannot return. no scratch tt. i wasn't able to return short serves!! other shots tt come after tt? no problems. short serves. PROBLEM. BLAH.

in any case, we weren't able to retain our gold this year. sadness. but well, it was against very strong odds this year..im upset tt we weren't able to get gold for sure, but im more sad tt we wun be able to play, or train as a team anymore. i'm sure gonna miss all these man.. the last ihg i was preparing to miss all these already.. but i guess at the back of my head, there was always the hope of doing a 4th year so nostalgia didnt have space to sink in yet. but this time round? its for real. its a final bye bye to IHG Tennis and all our 4 years on the src courts......
